The Axiom software system upgrade is designed to interface with the existing Fanamation Coordinate Measuring Machine .

Intelligent Measurement, Inc. continues to maintain and support all of the original Fanamation Software.

In addition,  IMI has developed AXIOM software to retrofit the existing Fanamation  Coordinate Measuring Machines without any change of Motion Controller or hardware.

AXIOM provides full compatibility to the DMIS part-programs while it provides a friendly machine and user interface with capable features as described here in more detail.

  • Recovery from Turning servo’s Off during operation of the machine either during DCC or QUICK mode using single key stroke to continue operation.
  • Recovery from Servo errors during machine operation through cooperative use of the Joystick at all times where user assistance is needed.
  • Retry features with increasing search for points falling short of touching the part or through joystick assist without change in DCC mode .
  • Retry features for accidental hits during GOTO’s using Joystick assist as required if obstruction is present and / or single stroke key to retry.
  • Increase in processing speed through use of BLOCK mode operation ensuring the fastest possible processing speed of the part program.
  • Continuous X Y Z display updates even during programmed moves.
